Scientific experimentation
has shown that with regards to subatomic particles such
as electrons, that a single particle potentially exists
in many possible states, but "chooses" a single
state when detected. What this means is that whichever
possible place one looks for a particular electron is
where one finds it! However, just because the scientific
community has not come to an agreement regarding why and
which state is "chosen" by a particle, it is no
reason to assume the process is random or subjective.
Assumptions of randomness have a strange way of being
proven wrong over time. Perhaps, the understanding
necessary in quantum mechanics is that the detector of an
observed electron, for example, causes the electron's
state because the detector is having an effect on the
environment. The detector is absorbing information into a
certain state, and thus away from the other possible
states. In a way, reality appears to be syphoned into
existence. Observation itself is a force upon the
environment. The observer connects itself to what it is
observing and facilitates heat transfer. Hypothetically,
when one looks at the Sun, one is not just receiving
light into ones eyes, but is actually pulling light into
ones eyes. It is a two-way street. |
