BORN AGAIN: To become
enlightened, become "born again" spiritually. When one was born
in ones flesh, from ones mother, one was born flesh into the world of
flesh. Spiritual matters do not concern those who are of flesh. When one
is "born again", one is born spiritually into the world of spirit.
The ways of the flesh no longer concern those who are of spirit. To be
"born again" is to be spiritually resurrected by Christ, for
before one is born again, one is spiritually dead.
BURNT SEEDS OF EVIL, WHAT ARE? One carries inside
oneself, seeds of evil. Discover, expose, and figuratively burn these
seeds so that they will never grow again. These seeds are aberrant beliefs,
and one cannot find enlightenment until one is able to burn ones evil
seeds. Only then can a person become one with God. One must take ones
hand out of the fire if one is to put it into water. One cannot serve
God and the Devil at the same time.
BUY DOMESTIC GOODS, WHY? When one buys foreign goods
and services, ones country does not just lose the money spent on those
particular goods or services, ones country also loses everything that
could be bought with that money. For example, if you buy a domestic car,
the car company will pay its domestic workers who will then use that money
again to buy, lets say a domestic lawnmower, and the lawnmower salesman
uses that money again and buys dinner at a local restaurant, and so forth.
Thus, by buying the foreign car, the domestic auto worker may become unemployed,
the lawnmower salesman may go out of business, and the local restaurant
may close down. Also, the taxes on the lawnmower and restaurant are not
collected because the purchases were never made. Money sent to foreign
countries has a multiple damaging effect on our economy if the foreign
country is not sending an equal amount of money into our country. This
is why a trade deficit is so damaging and why one buys domestic goods
and services when one has the choice. Compounding this problem is the
amount of money spent on foreign illegal drugs creating a phantom deficit.
One puts ones identity in ones purchases. If one buys goods from a belief
system one opposes, one is a hypocrite. Be careful how one operates ones
business, after all, the word "business" has the word "sin"
right in the middle of it. These principals apply to spiritual matters
as well, having just a little identity in good or evil increases good
or evil by a larger amount than one may realize as evil perpetuates evil
and goodness perpetuates goodness. The little good or evil you have identity
in has a compounding affect on the environment.
CAPITAL PUNISHMENT? Someone who murders innocent
people should in the very least be removed permanently from society. Ironically,
the people who are the most ignorant of the truth about God are often
sentenced by society to meet the Ultimate Truth by being executed.
The argument for keeping a prisoner in prison for life is the hope that
the prisoner will see the evil of his or her ways and perhaps find God
before he or she dies, and thus, find true peace. However, it is abhorrable
to allow criminals to continue influencing people through the media after
they have been convicted and incarcerated.
When someone commits a truly outrageous offense in the eyes of God, (one
for which there is no hope of atonement), that person dies on the spot.
Such was the case when someone who was not pure touched the Arc of the
Covenant. For the most part, God's grace is immense and God is slow to
anger. God wants for people to change their hearts and avoid being cut
off forever.
The garden must be weeded. When one allows weeds to remain in ones garden,
they obscure the sunlight and strangle those vines which are bearing good
fruit. Unchecked, weeds will spread throughout the garden and pollinate
the good vine branches with their wild pollen. Prison is like the transplantation
of weeds from the garden to the greenhouse. Weeds which remain weeds should
not be allowed back into the garden.
CARD GAME: In many ways, life is like a card game.
We each have been dealt a hand of cards in life. Any card player will
tell you, it is not the hand, but how you play the game. As Kenny Rogers
says in the song "The Gambler", "You've got to know when
to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when
to run." Accept the cards you have been dealt. The name of the game
is finding God and it is a game played against the self, though most people
wrongly play against each other. What is important is to do the best with
what one has.
CARROT OF DESIRE: Desire is like a carrot dangled
from a stick before a mule. The hungry mule sees the carrot and so walks
towards it, but since the rider of the mule is holding the stick, the
mule never gets the carrot and is led wherever the rider wants the mule
to go. Try as the mule might, the carrot is always out of reach.
If the mule would only overcome its desire for the carrot, perhaps it
could see the field of carrots at its feet. If the mule would overcome
its desire for the carrot, the "rider", or Devil, would have
no choice but to leave the mule in peace and find another mule to get
where it wants to go. Open your eyes and see the field of carrots at your
feet and the truth regarding the attainability of the carrot dangled before
your eyes.
Remove the blinders from your eyes and see the truth, spit out the bit
which keeps you from speaking truth, remove the bridle of false beliefs
from your head, cut the reigns which lead to evil, unloose the saddle
of delusion on which the Devil sits and run free with God.
CHAINS OF IGNORANCE: A prisoner was sitting chained
in his cell. He had been there for some time. He called to the guard,
"Let me out!" But the guard responded, "I can do nothing."
The prisoner did not understand the guard and sat in his cell awhile longer.
Finally the prisoner asked, "What crime have I committed? For I am
truly chained and walled in this prison." The man outside who he
took to be the guard replied, "Do you not remember? You walked into
the prison and chained yourself." When the prisoner understood this,
he was able to break a single link in the chain and thus free himself
of the entire chain. He got up, opened the door and was free. "Welcome
home, brother!" said the man he met at the door.
One has imprisoned oneself in the Prison of Unbelief and lies chained
by ones own iniquities. No one is holding one down but oneself and ones
refusal to allow themselves to be forgiven. Should one recognize this,
one would surely free oneself from ones prison and become enlightened.
As Jean Jacques Rousseau has written, "Man is born free, and everywhere
he is in chains."
If one is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes.
CHANGE: Without change, nothing changes. If you aren't
satisfied with things the way they are, you must make a change or you
never will be. Either change things so that one is satisfied, or learn
to accept things the way they are. Change makes a difference. If you don't
like the way your life is going, change your life. The past does not determine
the future, the present does. You are in charge of writing the script
of your life, don't let others write it for you or assume it has already
been written in stone without your involvement. One is not stuck in the
past or doomed to a certain future as one may think, one is at all times
living in the present of all opportunity.
Everything is changing all the time. The cells of ones body grow old,
die, and are replaced. Each day is a new day bringing with it new change.
The only thing that is unchanging is God, the Living Light, and God's
love for each one of us.
Many beliefs demand change in order for one to achieve ones goals. Think
twice before making changes to oneself and ones environment. Would such
change be in accordance with God's will? Is one working for eternal gains
or for temporary gains?
CHAOS THEORY: You've probably heard about chaos theory
and mathematical equations which generate "fractals". Fractals
are mathematical expressions. When a little awkward looking shape is copied
and grouped with other identical little shapes they soon turn into a big
pattern of the same shape made up of the little shapes. The look of the
designs created by these equations have the appearance of being somewhat
random. They look like topographical maps. Some say these wild equations
are not unlike those which have given birth to life. However, there is
always intelligence involved in making any equation. The more complicated
the equation, the less likely that there is anything "random"
about it.
CHASTITY: Ever wonder why many priests are chaste?
This is because when you are truly enlightened, even sex is not as desirable.
It is not by discipline and self depravation that priests refrain from
sex but simply that if someone is truly enlightened, they are in a state
of joy and peace already, and no longer desire things of the flesh as
much. In a way, you might say they are married to God. St. Paul, however,
instructs disciples that it is better for even a priest to be married
to a woman than to burn in the lustful desires of the flesh. The sin nature
of ones flesh makes it difficult for one to keep ones eyes always focused
on God.
CHILDREN OF GOD: Children of God do not grow up
to be Gods themselves. On the contrary, children of God look to God as
a child looks to his or her parents, forever dependent on God to provide
for, lead them, and keep them from harm. However, children of God shall
know the love of God just as children know the love of their parents.
This is why one must be like a child to enter the kingdom of Heaven. Be
dependent on God like a child. Trust in God to guide and provide.
If we are not the sons and daughters of God, whose sons and daughters
are we? If not God's children, then are we not the children of perdition?
As many as believe in God are the children of God, who were before the
children of flesh. Become again a child and run and play in the joy of
God. After all, there is a little boy inside every man and a little girl
inside every woman.
