CHILDREN OF LIGHT |
||
|
Those who are illuminated and filled with the light of God recognize themselves as children of light. In actuality, we are all sons and daughters of light, but certainly not everyone recognizes this truth, or believes it. All of the atoms of ones body were actually formed in the center of a star, like our Sun, which exploded long ago. Although God has created all matter in the Universe from nothing at all, God uses stars to combine and rearrange this matter into all of the different elements of which our world and our flesh itself are made. The Earth itself is a piece of what was once a star. A star has given birth to the Earth. The elements of the Earth itself are the result of atomic explosions one of which eventually set the entirety of what is now the Earth careening off into space, flung away from its star mother, as interstellar debris, where it eventually found itself caught in orbit around the Sun. The Earth, and all living things upon it, is made of this matter. But what actually is matter? To understand the nature of matter, one must understand the nature of light itself. The "light" from the Sun, for instance, is created by atomic explosions in which hydrogen is compressed so densely by "gravity" that it heats up and fuses into helium. A single nuclear fusion explosion occurs each time that four hydrogen atoms (each made up of one proton and one electron) are compressed into one helium atom (made up of two protons, two neutrons, and two electrons). In any given second, millions of tons of hydrogen are being fused into helium atoms. In addition, such fusion results in the release of neutrinos, and photon light energy as a result of the loss of two electrons for every helium atom produced. This light eventually radiates out into space when it escapes from the interior of the Sun. It is this same light that enables us to see during the day, is absorbed by plants on the Earth, and is so vital to life. In these solar explosions, heavier elements of matter are being created. Stars, however, which are giving birth to these new elements, do not live forever. As more and more hydrogen is converted into helium, a heavier element, hydrogen fusion moves towards the surface of the star and helium fusion begins in the center of the star. At different times in the life of a star, and depending on its size, hydrogen fuses into helium, helium fuses into carbon, carbon fuses into oxygen, etc. A star will eventually expand and contract under differing conditions and explode and/or die sending gases, cosmic dust, and chunks of various heavy elements shooting out into space where they may congeal into moons, planets, or become the ingredients for new stars. One may look at all objects in this world and know for sure that they are all made up of the result of fusion which took place in the center of some star which exploded in what is called a "supernova" long ago. Although "modern science" may teach one much of the blueprint of the Universe, it explains little about why or where the universal building materials, such as hydrogen, and the universal laws, like "gravity", came from, and even less about the Great Architect, God. A "Big Bang" does not just happen by itself, this creation was all part of God's plan and design. Einstein's amazing equation which explains the relationship between energy, matter, and light, i.e. E=MC˛, tells us that mass and energy are interchangeable. We are not only children of light, but are in actuality, the byproducts of light itself. We are lighthouses. Sadly today, where energy is bought and sold, Einstein's law might be rewritten as $=MC˛. Almost all religious texts are filled with metaphors concerning light. In most religious texts, evil is usually associated with darkness, whilst God, truth, and "goodness" are usually associated with light. As beings of light living within a world created as a byproduct of light, we may look at some of these scriptures and take some of them not only figuratively, but literally as well! |
